Interviews with Scotland's food community

Where Scotland
actually eats

We ask the people who make and know Scottish food one question in five parts: what would your dream menu be, and where is each part of it from? Twelve hundred answers later, it's a map.

What it is

Not a review site

Nobody rates anything out of five. Every venue on the map is there because a working chef, venue owner or food creator named it unprompted as somewhere they'd choose — and told us exactly what to order. It's recommendation by people with something to lose if they're wrong.

What the data shows

Tastes move faster
than menus

Ice cream is up 19 points as a dream dessert since late 2025. Tiramisu is down 8. Nobody's menu has caught up yet.

Because every guest answers the same questions, the answers can be tracked over time. That turns a collection of nice recommendations into something closer to an early-warning system for what Scotland wants to eat next.
